it is reall hard to loose weight if you get older,i mean i am not that old but i have the same problem with the stance.
And hope you have no back problems etc after the tourney and in general.
well 1:3 looks like a very good match even though today its the Win or Bust mentality.
Hope you had a blast in the Tourney!

Hi Harold,
I rarely have lower back pain, despite being heavier than a real bear. I DO use a LOT of explosion with a SHORT HIP and when I train with one of the Pastors I work with, I end up in a lot of open rally practice with very powerful ball striking and movement. That puts a lot of stress on a small muscle high on the side/back of my hip. I always wear this one out and it takes days or a week to recover, but I am always playing more TT or tennis and it never really fully recovers... even if it does, I wear it right back out.
Of course, I could just play for way less time each session... but then there is less fun. It is always a balance and decision I have to make.
As for fun at the tourney, of course it was a blast. I meet more and more people. I even had a 5 minute conversation with 888 TTC's head coach Jeorg Bitzigeigo (in German) He was coaching the A player in my group, so I started a quick talk with him, I let him know I lived in Germany before and try always to keep remembering my German. I took condensed semester courses (4 of them) at University Maryland on the Kasserne back in the early 90s. Took six months. I haven't lived in Germany for almost 20 years, so I SHOULD have forgotten about everything, but I remember most.
Against the C player in my group (A highly under rated 2 wing CRUSHER) I got to spin heavy and shout out (just only once) my favorite Hwae-Joen Jo-Ah and Hwak-Shilli Chookio. (Good Spin, Kill that sucker) (The ball)
So, I got to see friends I already know and talk to several others. I coached one player who recently started TT lessons with me. HE lost matches he was expected to win (by rating), but I expected him to lose most or all and struggle vs the pro-trained kids with more solid fundamentals under tourney conditions. When you are working to improve certain aspects (if not all your fundamentals) it is a huge transition time and when you try to use that in a tourney match under pressure, it is natural to play even worse than the previous state. I explained that will happen now and into the future, but he will get more and more increasing confidence when he sees more and more shots land and see higher quality in practice... then later see this in easy matches... then see it in league matches... then struggle then improve in tourney matches.President, Korea Foreign Table Tennis Club. Foremost great you have no pain which you can´t bear,I wear sport sleeves nowadays those from Dirk Nowitzki called "Bauerfeind",
They help, reallyhad some of Under Armour be4,but those are not that good at least for me.(no medical advice, just something to keep in mind)
Sounds like you had a great time, and were not really frustrated with the Competition, which when you are overeager kills the Joy.
Yeah 20 Years is a lot of time,i had French for several years back then, but i doubt i can´t get a full french conversation together nowadays
Well its ok ,if you loose to better players altough it kinda s.... to loose.
But great that you give your knwoledge to the young gerneration and tbh. great that some Youngsters play this beautiful Sport.
Cause we in Germany had really problems to get People back to play, altough now "after Covid" i hear that a lot of players come back,as I did,and play again.
Some only play on Stonetables outside etc..but that keeps me hoping that it will tick upwards again.
Great to read some of your Stories and hope to read some more in the future. The Following User Likes Haraold's Post:
