I'm not entering any official hardbat tournaments but we do have an end of season competition in my local table tennis league and I'd quite like my own racket and to maybe even play a couple of my normal league matches with the hardbat set up (so rubbers would need to be ittf approved). Does anywhere in the UK specialise in hardbat blades and rubbers? I can't find too much on the Internet that seems current; Valor Table Tennis pops up a lot but they're based in the USA and with shipping I'd be looking at about £100 for the set-up (but they do look top quality).

thanks

Simple.
Friendship 802 OX rubbers and any wooden blade. Preferably a blade that is on the heavy side but it does not really matter.
Players of yore seemed to prefer a large blade, but I notice that even the Barna series got smaller in the sixties and seventies.
So a normal blade of today would do just as well.
