Everyone believes they know the ethical standard, funny since ethical standards are broken and then some aspects that were looser are being made more solid. Yet there is a wide disagreement on several aspects, and that's where subjectivity appears. What is the "most-up-to-date acknowledged standard? Well, it's certainly subjective no matter which it is...
Sexy is to some dirty, meanwhile being feminine is pure. To some sexy is a compliment to others it's ALMOST(!) linked with being a dirty bitch. That's what it sounds like at least... or is this just related to feminist ideologies? idk. Rather not involve myself... but too late.
Well, since Sexy is not "politically" correct, I have the solution guys.
Let's make it: "Worlds most feminine female player" (just between us... the term can now relate to both sexy AND cute... fancy that?)
I have the list, get it going:
Liu Shiwen, Ding Ning, Naomi Yotsumoto, Hina Hiyata, Kasumi Ishikawa, Ai Fukuhara, Dora Kurimay, Daniela Dodean, Bernadette Scoz, Joanna Parker, Tie Yana, Soo Yeon, Biba Golic Georgina Pota and Margarita Pesotska
Also, I can't let this go un-replied ->
The problem is that many players in TT are really really very very young, and if we try to find them sexy, we might have to ask ourselves if we are pedophiles...
For the other ones, table tennis players have really very strong legs, thats not a feature considered as sexy according to common "standards" and tchoooing and having agressive attitudes like male players do is not sexy either.
Then, outside the court, we have yet another confirmation that with some cosmetics and lipsticks, any young girl can look sexy...
Remember the old joke:
- why do women put on cosmetics and spray themselves with perfume ?
- Because they're ugly and they stink
I could write an article on breaking each point down... but I'll keep it short.
1. "pedophile statement" ->
Ita Mimo and Miu Hirano is 17, aka above 16, They're not included... yet they probably should be, because you know, they're above 16... in more than 50% of countries, I believe that's not pedophilia. Though obviously, some countries like to stick to 18+ and some move it down to 14... and is it not even down to 12 in Japan? but what do I know.
The definition of pedophilia go by the countries standards... liking younger women does not make you a pedophile.
did you mean the girls below 16? I don't think there are that many.
2. "Strong legs" is not a common standard? must be some model ideology... Maybe Japan and China and a few other countries have some insanely thin/weak leg fetish, idk. But worldwide, that is definitely not acknowledged as the "common" standard.
Do some research/google and you will know, although, even in other countries where strong legs are preferred, it's all subjective to the individual.
I prefer stronger legs. (of course not chubby, fat legs, but stronger more solid legs)
To give a subjective example: I'd pick Liu Shiwen over Ding Ning, Bernie Szocs or Soon Yeon. (overall, but also due the legs on their own)
Ai Fukuhara vs Liu Shiwen would be a harder decision... meanwhile Petrissa Solja is a bit too strong for my taste, but against Soon Yeon, Ding Ning or Bernie Szocs... I'd to have think about it. Rather I'd have to conversate with them to make a decision lol. Just to illustrate a picture.
Though, the beautiful thing about the world is that, the most general standards (in regards to "preferences"), will usually be tweaked by a greater number than the numbers who prefer the standard itself. (savvy?)
Cultural and individual differences are everywhere. Having a common standard is just ridiculously overrated on it's own. The "common" standards on tabletennisdaily might not be the "common" standards you know.
then lastly... "cosmetics"... too tired to start on this... codewords ->
Cosmetics = Quantity "approvement relationships", living in the "now", face "aging" faster, a mask over the natural.
Natural = Quality "approvement relationships", you won't get that makeup face early on in life, your future "love" will according to the "common standard" see you as you are, not the makeup you.
Self-confidence and general approvement, not looking for anything serious? Stash it on.
You want to show you true self, and find someone who loves you for who YOU are? Skip the makeup.
Surely you can try to combine the last with makeup, but in that regards the person has to work his way around your makeup before coming to a conclusion...
To days society is all about putting on masks of different kinds. Tbh I can't stand it.
Which is one of the main reasons I could never vote up Bernadette or Soon Yeon, the legs are not the main problem, they're too aggressive on the makeup. (imho)
Maybe I would get downvoted by the world for these thoughts, and maybe, just maybe I am not the common standard.
But at least, I wear no mask.
Oh wait... that's the common standard for guys...
NB: I'm 22.
Edit: I also, did not read most the posts below, neither Carl's reply before after replying. So consider it un-influenced.
