How impressive is this! The drop shot executed to absolute perfection by Yijun 'Tom' Feng!

Who's going to try practice this shot now? :)

It was insane. He has such good touch. I have been with the team for over a month now working all the media for USATT and staying with the team as they train for Rio. They have been giving it everything, a really amazing team to work with!

I will try to get it much better than this with harder balls in my nest training session. Actually, I practising the 2nd ball placement inspired from latest ZJK's training video. This looks like baby stuff

U mean the slow high toss one pitch ball?

Yes. The player feeding it is a former US National Champs runner-up so his touch and hand speed is the kind of thing a player without such abilities will not notice. The spin he is putting on the ball might actually make the drop shot easier depending on technique, but in any case, I await your video doing the same with consistency and precision. You are likely missing a lot of subtle details like the amount of backspin on the ball.

Since I am aware of dorm room table tennis, I apologise for my ignorance on whom we are dealing with. Neverthless, the Jugaad Return table of mine is Quite unpredictable, has myirad of touches :D

I will go for topspin- backspin reaction ball as feed and get it done much faster and better in a heartbeat.
For consistency, I have to pick my 6 balls from the ground in the middle, that would be undesirable. Neverthless if hyou wish that can be done as well

Do you feel like a better player now for letting us all know that this is baby stuff and you can do better?

I'm tired of reading this kind of stuff all the time. People are working hard to produce media content and insiders on their training and tournaments and all they get met with is negative feedback.

Go out and film yourself doing this with a blindfold. Seriously, they are waiting for you over on reddit.

Matt,

What club was this filmed at?

This is Texas Table Tennis Training Center in Houston, TX. The team are doing their final preparation there, 3 more days then they head to Rio.

Hey Matt, I appreciate what you mean. It is incredibly hard to create good content. Like everyone has a opinion, it doesnlt look that hard to my eyes. May be on the field lets see.

Everybody comments on the stuff I do, just like what I said now.

I am definitely not a good player compared to many over here and that is not the point of concern regarding the post. It was just it didnt look so insane to my eyes

Are you joking lol.... I doubt you could do this on such a ball...
And just you know the ball being this high is part of why its so hard to play this shot.

I am not joking. Actually height doesnt make any difference here because it provides the extra time for him to reach the ball at the contact. It would be much harder do them on a low arc ball. The second point is there is no spin in the ball.

If not I am blind probably
