What Tenergy suits the Stiga Clipper blade?

Hello friends, I hope you can help me out. I have an offensive blade, Stiga Clipper, and want to put some Tenergys on it since I love those rubbers. But I am not sure about wich of them I should use... Currenty I Play it with Donic Coppa Platin X2 on forehand, and Acuda S3 on the backhand. But I feel that the Coppa is too soft for my forehand... Should I chose T05,T64 or T25 for this blade? I dont have to use the same on both sides, but please comment on what you Think is the best for each side, and why :p

Oops, forgot to tell how I Play... Thats kinda important :p I Play and attacking forehand dominated game, looping hard and with varying spin, I am a lefthander, and I usually varies between sidespin and backspin in my service. :)

I liked 05. But 64 is a little faster. I think both of those are really good on the Clipper. Hard to go wrong. If you do more looping mid distance the 64 is supposed to be better for that. But I have used both of those on a Stiga Clipper and thought they felt great with that wood. The only reason I like 05 better is I am happy with the small amount of extra spin and the small loss in speed. 05 is slower and spinnier than 64. But, to me, 25, because of the size of the pimples, it feels like the topsheet is a little to hard for you to really utilize the spring sponge well. That is why I did not love the 25. But if I had not felt 05 and 64, I might have thought 25 was better than I did. I was comparing them and next to 64 and 05 I did not like the 25.

What range do you loop from bro ?
And from the throw angle difference (according to TTdb.com) of Platin and Tenergy 05 and 64 is quite extreme.
Maybe 25 is your choice but I'm not so sure.
The other characteristic of T 25 is its springiness which is good for slap kill close from the table and loop from mid range.
Thats what I get from using my friend's bat.

@Yosan: I loop from all over the table, far away and close.. I know the throw difference is big, since I have used the T64 before on another blade called the Andro Temper Tech Off. But I loved the rubber on that blade, so that is why I am considering it right now :)

@VietcongOX: No, I do not play long pips now.. I did before, but found out that I was more of an attacker :p

I was also considering the solution of putting T25 on both of the sides (forehand and backhand), does anyone know how they play when you gets 3-4 meters back from the table? I usually stays at 1-2 meters, but sometimes it is also important to go further back to turn the game around.

Any suggestions, anyone? :)

Ah, I see the softness of Stiga Clipper (Limba outer ply) will make T25 the best candidate.
And when you loop far from the table, the inner ply will help much.
The rotation and speed will be great :D

Watch out dude limba is quite fragile, I reccomend to seal it.
I suggest the 1.9mm unless you have a great technique.

@moriguchi2: Yes, I used to play T64 on an Andro Temper Tech Offensive blade before, and I really loved it. But since this blade is very different I thought I should go with a rubber with lower throw than the T64. Also due to the fact that my game has changed during the last couple of months I've also started to play closer to the table than before. With my old setup I was mainly stepping 3 meters back and starting to attack from there. But now I have started to play more close to the table, and attack more from mid-close range... That is why I think that the T25 will suit my forehand and backhand game the most.. Also I dont think that it will be such a big step away from Coppa and Boost TX which have been my latest rubbers.

I think maybe I will have to do some more thinking, but right now I am leaning towards the T25 for both sides.. :)

- and yes, I am all out offensive.

Allright! Now I am really confused! :O
I don't know if I should go for the T25 or the T64 anymore... I have been playing with my friends bat today (Donic Burn All+, which is really fast for an all+ blade, and Tenergy64 on the backhand) And I loved it! This is making me wanna go with T64, since I did play it really nice before, and I am familiar with it. Sooo.... I'll take a couple of days to settle my mind, and will probably buy new rubbers on thursday or something.

Really confused.. So I hope for something that can make me settle on one rubber :)

@Yosan: Bro, it is not the meaning to dissapoint you, but it might be so that I don't go for the T25... BUT I HAVE NOT SETTLED YET, so there is still hope for your suggestion, lol :p

Thank you all for the help! :)

Sorry to confuse ya even more on what to use, but my friend uses that blade with tenergy 05 on fh and calibre LT on bh. Its a great combo.

However its a great blade and any of the tenergy series will be great on it. You'll soon adapt anyways.

I have tried 05 & 64. I found 05 to be a bit more spinnier and 64 to be a bit softer. Can you not test these rubbers from a friend?

I have tested the T64 on my friends Persson Powerplay blade, and I liked it.. And since that blade is not too different from my clipper, I think I will go with the Tenergy 64 on my forehand. And then I will try staying with my Acuda S3 on backhand :) Will order it soon, and then I can try write something in here about it after some hours of playing with it.

I like 05 and 64. Both are good. 25 I did not like as much. But I think you cannot really go wrong. When looping or hitting the very thin outer ply of Limba on the Clipper mainly gives you more dwell time like the ALC on a Timo Boll Clipper. The feel of the blade is not soft. So, while the idea sounds nice in theory, it does not actually apply here. And personally, if I was going with harder rubber I might go to Hurricane rather than to Tenergy 25. But, again, all options are good if the rubber is Tenergy on a Clipper.
