Shame we can't see her in pro tours anymore.
It seems that Singapore is planning to develop local talent which is totaly reasonable given the number of Chinese expat players and coaches.

Found Li Hu sucked for disciplinary reason amusing though!

She can still play world tour at our own cost.

Singapore TT body is known for it political problems.
From what I heard, few senior players have disagreement with the management, and I dont even think the people running the show are sportsmans, they are true politicians
So, being a typical arrogant politician with power - fire the player, fire the coach - everyones at fault, but not leadership :)

It is also due to her injuries. I heard that she extremely injury prone and this has reduced her performance to a large extent. But still as a local, i feel that she could still be retained to guide the younger ones.... (She still has a contract with the sports ministry. Maybe she will train and be sponsored by a different sports sector?)

This reminds me of the time when Joo Se Hyuk, Oh Sang Eun and Ryu Seung Min retired from the Korean National Team for the young generation to come through.

Jeoung Youngsik is currently playing in the Chinese Super League for Shanghai, the same team as Xu Xin. I am sure he will be learning lots!

FENG Tianwei had too many ups and downs this year and last year, and she had really a poor showing at the Olympics. She is not the player she used to be. You can see she seems always injured, wearing a lot of bandages and moves much less than in her prime. It is a hard but good decision by STTA. There are some young very promising players in their team. They need to play and gather experience if they wanna aim something better in the Tokyo Olympics. Because if FENG plays there she would be trashed, no doubt about that.

I hope she can still play in ITTF Pro tours on her own if she wishes.

Some serious accusations by the STTA towards Feng. I find it difficult to believe that she was sacked only because she refused to pay 400 $ and that she ordered 200 eggs for a period of 9 days. Who knows if that is the truth or not, in the end the result is the same. Maybe she wanted to leave , she is a chinese mercenary after all.

p.s. the whole thing with the change of coach was also ridiculous

When these mercenaries win Gold - they are national heros
Before Gold, they are mercenary and people complain about Chinese imports - happy with gold medals though....
When they fight back, they are ill disciplined.

The coach story (LGL's brother) to me was a bigger joke
The FTW one is slightly smaller, as FTW is retiring age.

If FTW broke contract of those claims, there should sue her, and not bully her
To me, bully tactic is people who have some power, but have lack of wisdom and rather childish to slander.

Singapore TT is and has always gave me questions on how leadership run the show.
Few promising players now, but they lack proper leadership - both senior player and mangement

In german there is a phrase which would be translated:
When a fish starts to smell, it begins at its head...
