Chen Meng first to proceed 2:1 beating Muzi. Now is XX vs Xu Chenhao.
XX just 2:0 Xu Chenhao so he is the first Men player to proceed.
Next up Ding Ning vs Wang Manyu.
DN 2:0 and proceed.
LGY 2:0 Yan An and proceed as expected.
Last position for Women is between Feng Yalan and Zhu Yuling.
Feng Yalan upset ZYL 2:0. So the second ticket for Women is between Ding Ning, Chen Meng and Feng Yalan.
Too bad ML retired due to injury so Zhou Yu automatically proceed tonight. It is between Xu Xin, Lin Gaoyuan and Zhou Yu for Men. Lin Gaoyuan's chance is high without ML. Will see how it goes tomorrow.

Are the 3 winners really through to wttc? I can hardly belive that Ma Long's wttc participation is determined by a single bo3... Of course he is the favourite but everyone can lose 2 unlucky sets

The 3 winners of each group tonight will proceed to Phase 3 tomorrow. Three players will play each other and who beat the other two will get the ticket. If no one win it straight in the first round then they will go into infinite rounds starting at 10:10 until one clear winner is generated. That is why LGL called it "Blood Battle till the End". Should be bloody!
Only one player (the winner of the round-robin between the 3 winners, which is the stage 3) is going FOR SURE to the WTTC.
Then Liu Guoliang will choose 3 of them based on their performance. Ma Long could lose today, but he will play the WTTC for sure. The importance of these matches is much higher for second-class players, as they have the opportunity to get a slot beating Ma Long, or have a remarkable performance to impress the Guoliang.

Zhu Yuling is living a nightmare. WTF was that and what is going on with her that no one has shared?
Confirmed at the results page, Ma Long has withdrawn!!
So the final-3 will be between: Xu Xin, Lin Gaoyuan and Zhou Yu!
In my opinion, this makes it much more interesting for tomorrow, as there isn't a clear winner.

Maybe she's still suffering from her ankle injury.
But in general she has always a hard time against aggressive playing styles.
Didn't seem to have any problem against anyone during the CTTSL, not even Ding Ning.
