I am playing with a clipper cr penhold now. The difference is that cr is faster so if you have not fully developed ur loop stroke you shud get the non cr version . However i find that blocking is better on a faster blade as it gives ur opponent less time to react

Tofu, what is more important in blocking is getting close to the ball, and having firm grip pressure right during impact. Even my really SLOW Nexy Lissom can block fast.

I would agree that really STIFF, HEAVY, SOLID fast blades tend to make the fast block easier. (but make it more challenging for soft block soft touch)

Well, i always wonder if the normal clipper version is slower, get a faster rubber to compensate it?

If the CR blade is faster, but with a slower rubber will affect it performance too.

So........balde is more important Rubber? :)

They are both great blades. The differences are very small. The CR has had a UV treatment that makes the top ply a little harder. The trade-off is, the CR is a tiny bit faster with a tiny bit less dwell time. The Clipper Classic is a tiny bit slower and has a tiny bit more dwell time.

I generally like the feel of the Clipper Classic better. But the differences are very minimal.

Thank Carl for the inputs.

Dwell can be compensated by the rubber i suppose...

so i get a Clipper wood non CR version, i can get a slower rubber and more dwell time?

And it is already a slower blade...so it gonna be more slower? :D
