Watching this video of two players in completely different leagues reinforced the importance of serves. If you look at dans serve they are solid serves but more obvious what spin he is doing (e.g. his back spin serve) in comparison to liam's serves which are far more difficult to read with more actions taking place before and after contact with the ball... a good reminder for players looking to develop more deceptive serves but for beginners its always best to keep it simple first and "stick to the basics"
