It seems Kanak has beated Adrian Crisian , just saw his mom's post on facebook ! US kids are doing wonders in this WTTC .. unfortunately for him he is going to play Mattias Karlsson next round who is his team mate , so chances of causing another upset looks slip ... but nonetheless way to go kid !
Lily created another upset winning against Sabine Winter. An amazing match to watch and she played splendidly

Rather weird that CCTV-5 air the table 1 continuously while neglect other tables involving the Chinese players  I ain't interested to watch the nail polishing color of the Szocs, the media-significant player but not the play level itself... a player having too much awareness on own appearance like a celeb ;)

says Aged and infirm of purpose
I'm finding it difficult to watch these championships. Firstly because in the UK it's only available online - irritating and inconvenient, can't see the ball unless I plug the laptop into the TV. Secondly because the ridiculous foreshortening makes the tables look square and makes it look like the umpire and scorer are in the next state ! I would say "is this the best ITTF can do ?" but I think I already know the answer !

20:30 - 31/5/2017 Table 5 H H 2-4: MU Zi
5-11,5-11,13-11,7-11,12-10,7-11,-
50 MU Zi CHN

MU Zi's adventure still continues... just passed a formidable opponent from Chinese Taipei, CHENG I-Ching through a nail-biting match involving many exciting FAST rally exchanges between the two players. Cheng has dangerous FH. From TT POV this match should have been staged on Table 1 (the TV Table) i/o the LIU Jia vs Bernadette Szocs one. LIU Jia will see another ROU player in R32.

In R32 MU Zi will see LI Qian

What a gloomy day for the host, just lost another heroine today, after Sabine Winter, think now the host has no more contender in WS.

Does anyone know why Eurosport are not bothering to cover this event? They always used to support and show the World Championships. It's a massive disappointment.

Also, I'm curious to know what European countries are broadcasting this event on their normal TV channels? I guess Germany and France will have it covered. Any others?
