Hi everyone,

I got this idea from a Tennis YouTube channel. The idea here is that we go through the different aspects of a what makes up a player's game and nominate the player's who have been (relatively) successful with this aspect of their game not being textbook. To keep it simple I'd say we consider a player's game to consist of serves, pushes/ receives, forehands, and backhands.

To kick things off, let's think of who has the most unorthodox servers. This is probably the hardest of the categories because there isn't really such a thing as an orthodox serve.

My nomination for serve is Kenta, but I'm sure there's far stranger servers out there.

Anyone else got a better nomination for most unorthodox serve?

Go look at this video of Eric Boggan from back in the day (this is 1991).

Now imagine if you could create a 2017 version of that. Better serves. Maybe enhance the twiddling a bit. Spinnier rubber now.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Dima's strange BH serve.
