Watch New videos of Zhang jike's training before korean open 2018 . After his come back , Korean open will be his fourth open which he'll participate . Also He had a good jump in ranking , from 102 to 76 , which is a great motivation for his next tournaments to reach his goal , being in top 10 .

The Asian-European Table Tennis All-Star Game Organizing Committee officially announced the list of athletes and competition time for the Asian team in 2018. It is reported that this competition will be held from August 4th to 5th in Nantong, Jiangsu, China. The Grand Slam Zhang Jike with four other Asian teammates as Asian team will face European rivals .

The Asia-Europe is a top-level event organized by the Asian Table Tennis Federation and the European Table Tennis Federation. Since its resumption in 2009, it has been in Beijing ,Istanbul ,Mons , Tianjin , Qingdao, Zhangjiagang, Dongguan, and France, Belgium, and Belarus. Some European cities have successfully held eight sessions. In the past, the competition attracted Zhang Jike, Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin, Samsonov, Timo Boll, Ovtcharov and other world top players.

I personaly think he avoided from being injured because of more games he would play also in his game with indian player he wasnt fully fit so it seems he's got problem .

Thanks for sharing Suga . He's told : Asked my friend Jike if it's his last tournament in life. He said quietly and smiled. The young players are not good enough like the older players. And He'd have to keep playing. And laughed at it
So zhang jike thinks that new Generation is not as skillful as the Golden generation ( Zhang jike , Ma long , Xu xin ) , and I myself think that's true , Due to the recent opens .

On July 18th . Zhang jike played against Indian player Desai and won the match with the score of 4-2 after winning south korean player in 1st round on 17th . Zhang jike who won two consecutive victories , kept the fans screaming and hopeful for the rest of the open but unfortunately before his match with Yan An , He withdrew due to waist injury . Also As the news came out , zhang jike's rivals in the next round changed several times . According to the new rules of ITTF , the group stage will not need to be redrawn after entering the knock out stage . It only needs to automatically enter the corresponding positions but in korean open , The organizers decided to draw lots !
Even more incredible is that the results of the first two draw were overturned and after the third draw zhang jike's opponent became his teammate Yan An . Before this game Zhang jike announced that his exit due to waist injury .
As every one knows zhang jike's waist injury is an old injury but some netizens thought maybe the reason behind his exit is his Girl friend's Birthday on 21th July which is completely wrong because for a professional athlete with a new motivation and plans in this high level this kind of rumours are impossible . Also his girl friend Jing tian is filming a new drama now and busy these days .
After zhang jike's exit , the odd drawing and also the false news about the reasons behind his exit , his agency posted a statement : “Zhang Jike withdrew because of the waist injury in the Korean Open on July 18th. The studio thanked the media friends and fans for their concern about the physical condition of zhang jike ! From the first stop to the present Zhang Jike has been actively training, but this time the Korean Open, suffered three changes to the opponent, has lost the fairness of sports competition!
