Hi JST,

Only the Primorac has been sitting in my drawer since early-2017. Since then the rubber is been rarely used maybe... once a month? In terms of how much life is left on the Mark V I can roughly say 75%.

The PG7 was bought in a ebay auction during September of 2018 in brand new unused condition. Since the PG7 was only used once after I purchased it I can safely say the condition of the rubber can be considered near brand new.

Rubber oxidizes with exposure to oxygen (air). If the rubbers were not vacuum sealed, there will be some oxidation of the molecules and that makes the rubber less elastic and less grippy. Rubber sitting for 2 years is still quite usable. But there is more degradation of playing characteristics than one might expect if the rubber is not used and just sits on a shelf.
