Shuki, you were younger then, at an age where a year here and a year there makes a big difference. At that age I did dumb stuff too. Different kinds of dumb stuff, actually several different kinds of dumb stuff. The thing about kids is they often grow out of these things. I look back on any number of things and wonder WTF I was thinking and thank my lucky stars it didn't mess up my entire life. Sometimes I recall stuff I have long forgotten and am horrified. At various points in time different things kind of clicked in, and as a result the frequency of incredibly stupid stuff I did gradually decreased over time.

This guy is an adult (another thing readily discovered once I knew his name and mailing address) and pulling crap like that is beyond redemption at that stage. His brain is presumably fully formed into the the bent shape it is in.

I know this is a little extreme , once you guys have the IPs from which these kind of shady guys operate , you can just run a script on the web logs and get these guys banned automatically without having to figure out each and every new identity ... and these scripts could be made to run daily ...

Research studies show these traits are the most common in internet trolls:

1) The need to be in the spotlight: narcissism: wants to be center of attention, don't care about other people, need other people to look at you.
2) Antisocial; Psychopothy: lack of empathy.
3) Machiavellianism: manipulating people for personal gain.
4) Sadism, getting off on harming others.

These are known as the dark tetrad.

Why do trolls troll:

1) Seeking conflict/attention factor: they want attention and negative attention is better than none at all.
2) Viciousness/nastiness factor: Malicious; pure sadism.
3) Low self confidence factor: trolling to get status.
4) Amusement factor: trolling just for the LULZ.

Solutions for dealing with trolls:

1) Band together and self police.
2) Learn to ignore obvious trolling posts: don't feed the trolls.
3) See it for what it is. Don't get sucked into the trolls behavior.
4) You have to ignore trolls. If the troll doesn't get the attention he is seeking the troll can lose interest.

Well, some trolls have proved quite persistent over years and years. :)

Yeah, but Archo could have been easier understandable if he just asked if Domino or anybody else has seen the movie Con-Air, and then would have continued by saying that those 'passengers' are Con-Men instead of causing even more confusion by sharing lousy links...

If you go by Archo's process of thinking, he could have also argued that merriam webster ignores the hyphen if you search on their website as Con-man and shows the results of Con man ... but he chose to take the higher path ... :D
