He still has to play ho kwan kit and koki niwa. He has to beat them both to be qualified.

not necessary, there is possibility that Chen looses to Koki and Koki beats Ho. In that case you will have 3 players with 5 points. FZD is in a goods position because he has good ratio of won sets to the lost, but we will see in the end.

I don't think this is fair to FZD but that said, the group you listed is called the special generation for a reason. As dominant as China has been, these guys were considered special.

Just to correct myself - was commenting about LGY and how he measures to ML XX FZD and ZJK. FZD is definitely up there. But not sure about LGY or LJK or others !!!

I think Wong Chun Ting is over. He is consistently losing.

Gutted Lee Sangsu is out. He did very well in the WTTC

Passionate about TT

Lee is not out! :)

He's playing Noshad Alamiyan for a place in the quarter-finals against Koki Niwa or Chuang Chih-Yuan. So I would say that he still has a pretty good chance of qualifying for the semi-finals...

Can anybody tell me how is that possible that FZD did not won the group:
Same points as Niwa, but sets ratio
Niwa: 7:5
FZD: 8:4
How does it work?????

The problem here is that THREE players (Niwa, Fan and Chen) have the same number of wins (2).

In such a case, only the matches between these three players count when calculating the set (or game?) ratio. In this case it means that all matches against Ho Kwan Kit (0 wins in the group) doesn't count, and so the set ratios of Niwa (4:3), Fan (5:4) and Chen (3:5) decided the standings in the group.

I hope this makes sense? If not, let me know and I will give it another go :)
