XX will still play for Shanghai. The full lineup of Shanghai has not released yet.
ZJK will not play; he will attend a military training like variety show "Takes a Real man".

Wow.. Ma Long changed teams... He probably won't play anyways...

Why so many line up changes? Did GAS interfere?

Tianjin got a new sponsor this year, Quanjian, who has sponsored CTTSL in 2015.

It is said that CTTA wants to balance the levels of teams by forcing lease and transfer. Ma Long (from Shandong Weiqiao to Tianjin), Shang Kun (from Shanghai to Shandong Luneng), Xu Chenhao (from PLA to Shenzhen), Cheng Jingqi (from Bazhou to Tianjin) are all on 1-year lease now. They will be back to the former teams later.

Jiangsu: Zhang Yudong (Shandong Luneng 2016), Kong Lingxuan, Lin Chen (Shangdong Luneng 2016), Cai Wei, Su Wen, Yang Shuo (A League), Wang Helin, Dimitrij Ovtcharov (GER)

There will be no Japanese players in 2017 CTTSL which does not mean no non-CNT players.

7 players are top tier this year: FZD, ML, XX, FB, LJK, LGY, YA (last year: ML, ZJK, FZD, XX, FB, YA, LJK)
Top tier players are top ranked during CTTSL. They receive higher salary and need to show up every match even they do not play. Usually a club can own one top tier player unless one more player reaches top tier and stays in the same club; a club cannot have more than two top tier players. In 2016 CTTSL, ML and YA were top tier players (when YA became top tier, he was in the same club with ML) and LGY not; in 2017 CTTSL, ML, YA and LGY are all top tier players which exceeds the upper limit. That's why one of them has to be sold or leased.

They already had two colored balls last season. Hard to tell from videos if they are easier to spot, maybe for the live audience

Two-colored balls were used in knockout stage of CTTSL since 2014. They did not help audience much see the spins and they were prone to break.

Although the first round will start today, PLA and Bazhou have not officially announced the line-up. The core players remain the same. PLA: Fan Zhendong, Zhou Yu, Zhou Kai, etc. Bazhou: Liang Jingkun, Wang Chuqin, etc.
Shenzhen: Hao Shuai (Shandong Luneng 2016), Ren Hao, Zheng Peifeng (Jiangsu 2016), Xu Chenhao (PLA 2016), Lv Xiang
Shandong Weiqiao: Yan An, Lin Gaoyuan, Xue Fei, Xia Yizheng (A League), Ng Pak Nam (HKG)
Shandong Luneng: Fang Bo, Shang Kun (Shanghai 2016), Zhang Chao, Liu Jikang (Shenzhen 2016), Xu Yingbin ()
Tianjin: Ma Long (Shandong Weiqiao 2016), Ma Te, Liu Dingshuo, Fang Yinchi, Cheng Jingqi(Bazhou 2016)
Anhui: Yu Ziyang, Zhou Qihao, Liu Yi, Zhu Cheng (), Xi Sheng ()
Jiangsu: Zhang Yudong (Shandong Luneng 2016), Kong Lingxuan, Lin Chen (Shangdong Luneng 2016), Cai Wei, Su Wen, Yang Shuo (A League), Wang Helin, Dimitrij Ovtcharov (GER) ---It is said that Dima is registered but will not play.
Shanghai: Xu Xin, Zhao Zihao, Cui Qinglei (Shenzhen 2016)
Sichuan: Zhu Linfeng, Xu Ruifeng, Lai Jiaxin, Yan Sheng

There seems to be no official live streaming website this year. CCTV will broadcast some matches and as well as local TV.
      Round 1: 2017/10/31
      PLA vs Sichuan
      Bazhou vs Anhui
      Shandong Weiqiao vs Tianjin
Shanghai vs Jiangsu (CCTV boardcast 4pm local time)
Shenzhen vs Shandong Luneng (postponed to 2017/11/4)
