What format do you want? If you want everybody to play everybody, you'll need 9 rounds. If your players are A…I, you could play 9 rounds as follows, assuming you have 4 tables available:

Cohort: all (9 players, odd number, max. 4 tables)

R01 Table 01 B <> C
R01 Table 02 D <> E
R01 Table 03 H <> I
R01 Table 04 A <> G

R01 No table or opponent available for: F.

R02 Table 01 F <> I
R02 Table 02 C <> H
R02 Table 03 A <> B
R02 Table 04 E <> G

R02 No table or opponent available for: D.

R03 Table 01 D <> F
R03 Table 02 C <> E
R03 Table 03 I <> B
R03 Table 04 A <> H

R03 No table or opponent available for: G.

R04 Table 01 D <> G
R04 Table 02 F <> A
R04 Table 03 E <> I
R04 Table 04 H <> B

R04 No table or opponent available for: C.

R05 Table 01 D <> C
R05 Table 02 G <> F
R05 Table 03 A <> I
R05 Table 04 E <> H

R05 No table or opponent available for: B.

R06 Table 01 B <> D
R06 Table 02 G <> C
R06 Table 03 F <> H
R06 Table 04 A <> E

R06 No table or opponent available for: I.

R07 Table 01 F <> B
R07 Table 02 C <> I
R07 Table 03 G <> H
R07 Table 04 D <> A

R07 No table or opponent available for: E.

R08 Table 01 D <> I
R08 Table 02 G <> B
R08 Table 03 E <> F
R08 Table 04 C <> A

R08 No table or opponent available for: H.

R09 Table 01 G <> I
R09 Table 02 E <> B
R09 Table 03 F <> C
R09 Table 04 D <> H

R09 No table or opponent available for: A.

Match counts by player:
A 8 B 8 C 8
D 8 E 8 F 8
G 8 H 8 I 8

If you want team matches (with teams X…Z), you just play:

R1 X-Y (on two tables)

R2 Z-Y

R3 X-Z

Team matches here can be the regular 3x singles plus 1x doubles, or you can play the major league system (no doubles, five games played).

You can also play the Swiss system, with (say) 4 or 5 preliminary rounds followed by a tournament final.

I am trying to draw inspiration from the recent league we played , and see if I can fit into your requirements ... just being clear ...

1. Each Team plays 3 matches , two singles , one doubles , no body gets to play more than two matches and all three players have to play at least one match .... each match is best of three sets 11 points each ( ideally I would have best of 5 but you want the whole thing to be done in 3 hours ) ...

2. So you play round robin against each other .. which will be three matches ... should be done in 1.5 hours if you play the teams in parallel ... ...

Keep a close track of the scores because there is a possibility of a three way tie ... and you would need to calculate point differences etc ...

Then once you determine the top two teams you can play a best of three match with each of the game being played to best of five .. which will mostly likely take another 1.5 hours...

Yes, normally people use the total number of sets won - total number of sets lost etc ... you can take the same logic for matches first to try and break the tie ... and then the sets ...
How would you suggest the calculation for the tie? Maybe with the biggest difference in set won in each of the match?
