Harimoto to win Tokyo???
Harimoto has the game to beat FZD already . The pace of harimoto's imorovement outpaces FZD 's at this point. I think FZD is at his peak. He cant improve much apart from slight tweaks or more mental strength to his game.Harimoto by 18 would be ML3.0 or 4.0 if he keeps improving at this pace.

I don't think he does yet, but he could win with tactical preparation and coaching very very soon. Plus I think Fan will improve a lot over the next four years along with Tomo, especially in the tactics department. But I don't think the Chinese coaching is back up to the Liu Guoliang level yet. Coaching at that level has everything to do with stability and adaptability and how it plays out in the last points in each game and in the last game of the match.

Did anybody notice the huge audience present in the stadium. Wow I did not see such attendance for a TT tournament for a long time.

The all japan championships always have huge attendance even in the era when japan was not a strong competitor against china

It really took off in recent years. Prior to 2010, I could purchase the ticket at the door easily. Now that the full house is norm, JTTA is starting to spend more money into the event resulting in more popularity. The event staffs including umpires still don't get paid so you hear plenty of complaints every time you talked to them haha.

And he's smiley too

In the match between FZD and Kristian Karlson at Hungary open, there was a debatable 2-touch point . Just when I thought they will argue over it FZD smiled and said "twooo toshh really really" . KK could not help seeing FZD's cute smile and broken English and handed over the point to FZD.
