Dima was making a lot of unforced errors , even on his backhand , thats why he could never claw his way back into the match after losing the first set ...
They may have been unforced but listening to Timo's racket when he played Vladi and Dima, the silence was deafening and I think the spin was on another level.

In current form, Boll can defeat both ML and FZD
The last mini period has created a set of players who float around the same level. That why I want to see the actual games at the World team Cup. It could see the insane emergence of Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, Xu Xin, Timo Boll, Dima Ovtcharov, Tomo Harimoto, and even a few more who will hover around each other, or maybe just a few points lower, but up there. The next 6 months will see a beautiful dance of 15 amazing players. It's gonna be good.

You named all the players I too will be closely following. But based on current form alone, I would rate ML at a little lower level than the other players in the list right now. ML looked sluggish and out of form (due to injury or otherwise) in Chinese Super League. No doubt it is going to be a exciting time ahead.

SUPERB! The China Construction Bank 2018 ITTF Europe Top 16 Cup is really a SUPERB event with SUPERB players playing SUPERB shots. Can't wait to see the SUPERB final between Boll and Dima who are both playing SUPERB so far.

If anyone was doing a drinking game on whenever the guy says "superb" you better call an ambulance already
It is sensational!!!:)

I cannot understand how blind one should be. They both played very poor, especially dima who made a lot unforced errors and his footwork was much worse the usual also Timo was lucky in crutial points. Of course timo had better strategy and his style now is very good for positive attitude. There has been time since they both played to chinese players, there was also a matter of new balls. So I am very interested to so how the compete now. Of course I still hope that chinese players can be stopped, but in current form of FZD I just cannot see how boll or ovtcharov can beat him. Thay are both way behind.

Recent form of FZD has not been great by his own standards if you follow super league. And his defeats in CSL were mostly against left handers ( Boll plays better than all these lefties btw ). Also pls dont go by world cup final against Dima. If you review that match again, you will definitely find that 4-0 score was misleading. On the other side did you see Boll's footwork, backhand, serves and spin on the strokes?? I think he is actually playing better than his prime.
