Hello everybody,

I want to collect a lot of (basic) tabletennis exercises that I can do on training with my teammates.
Do you know where to find lots of good exercises?

Cheers.

That was the idea I had with this thread as well.

Have a look.

One of the best things to practice, in my opinion, when you don't have someone to hit multi ball with you, is serve and receive drills. There are all kinds.

Simplest ones are random. Just serve like you are in a match, but you are not counting points. One player serves a bucket and then the other player serves a bucket.

Still simple:

1) A)
1) First player serves short underspin to backhand side
2) Second player pushes back to forehand
3) First player attacks
then play out the point.

1) B) same as above put second player pushes to backhand.

2) A)
1) First player serves underspin to backhand side
2) Second player attacks with backhand
then play out the point.

2) B) Second player steps around backhand and attacks with forehand.

3) A)
1) First Player serves short underspin to forehand
2) Second player pushes to backhand
3) First player attacks with backhand

3) B) First player steps around backhand to attack with forehand

3) C) Second player pushes to forehand; First player attacks with Forehand

4) A)
1) First player serves short underspin to forehand
2) Second player attacks with forehand

4) B) Second player does over the table loop with backhand from forehand side ala Zhang Jike.

sir
Pl note the basics of TT is very important so we must give lot of wt to it .

We should work on movement form side to side and cross
If stand exactly in middle with gap between the leg almost half the table width.
we should move exactly 45degree to wards left for back hand and 45degree towards fore hand for right hand shake hand player.
Make shadow practice of back hand role and role I do not have the video to show you .
If you don understand what I am writing pl PM me.
This practise will help you to improve close to table play.

Why don't you just start out with the basics before you move on to intermediate to advanced. The problem with starting later with the basics is that people get bored and want to move to the trickier harder concepts, but doing so hurts you rather than helps you. When you've mastered the basics of knowing spin, movement, racket angle, footwork you have something to build on rather than just guesswork and constant recalculations.

Show us some videos of your teams exercising and we'll be able to judge what the next level of exercises you'd want to work on.

Show us some videos of you playing. Then we can judge your level. I don't mean to be insulting, but everyone can say they are intermediate. A coach has a much better reference point because they will be able to observe you and notices your weaknesses and strengths. I have no doubt that you're at the intermediate level, but if you are truly looking to improve then you will need us to check out what your weaknesses are. And if they happen to lie in basics then you'll need to work on those again.
