without Timo , this tournament is not so interesting anymore. If Germany vs China in the final, Timo will be a important player for Germany , without Timo, Germany has no chance, in fact Germany may not be able to get into final. Not sure Germany can beat Korea , Japan .

No hardbats (they got their own thing going), no defenders (because of boosted Tenergys and Hurricanes everywhere), but at least there's Xu Xin, heir apparent to the glorious reverse penhold tradition of Liu Guoliang, Ma Lin and the magnificent Wang Hao. For Xu Xin alone, it might be worth checking out.
In my humble opinion, the reverse penhold backhand is the best thing to have happened to table tennis since 1959. And as some of you may know, I went reverse penhold (hardbat and inverted) way way back in 2000, when Americans thought you had to be a stark raving wacko to even try that kind of shot. I was reverse penhold before reverse penhold became cool.
And if you've ever come to Tucson in the summertime, you've probably heard of the annual Tarmac Melt Ribfest, held on the hottest day of the year. Folks come from as far away as Show Low and Tombstone to set their babybacks down on the unique Catalina speckled Tucson International Airport tarmac in 115 degree heat. It's a pretty big event around these parts, next to the gem show, the rodeo and pothole jumping and if you're in town you won't want to miss it. Just remember to bring along plenty of napkins, sunscreen, and a big appetite.
So back to my request, nobody there with one ticket for Sunday? I think that if nothing appears, I will aproach in the entrance one of those big groups coming from clubs and ask them to sell me a ticket. If they had bought 20 tickets for the club, I have a chance that one of their members may not appear at the last moment.

Well to give you some hope I had a similar problem 2012 in Dortmund WTTTC. I was missing like at least 2 tickets for the Sunday. Friday and Saturday I was checking with cashiers if anybody had returned a ticket. It turned out they had few tickets returned every now and then and I managed to get them.
Maybe at the entrance someone will try to sell some?
But yes, you are right to ask here. My best, I regret I'm not there.

I asked two guys that were sitting next to me if they had a spare ticket to sell and had the fortune that one of them finally decided to go back home to Bristol on Sunday instead of attending the finals, so he sold me his own ticket.
