The world ranking for march is/will be published today, in due time for the draw for the champ division for Halmstad.

Women:
China, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, will go to groups A,B,C,D according to world ranking
Korea Republic, Romania, will be drawn to C or D
Austria and Singapore will be drawn to A or B

...and the draw wil continue in this way, snake with two and two teams
Seeds 6 and 7 have changed place since february. From the last ranking Romania would have to face China or Japan in the group. Now Austria will get that job.

Mens ranking is not out yet.

The draw is today at 14:00/2pm Swedish time in Halmstad Arena.

All teams have nominated a preliminary squad. They can modify online for two more weeks. Then I would think it is official. However, it is ok to substitute players until the evening before the tournament. You can just hand the form to the competition manager at the venue... I believe most nations have a nomination policy, and the team should be more or less ready now. For Sweden men there is one place up for grabs. Japan team should be possible to find at jtta

They want to leave Gerell off the squad? I thought the squad would obviously be Karlsson, Larsson, Gerell, Kallberg and Moregardh.

That leave of absence of the entire englishwomen's department is getting long in the tooth. What's with that, are women somehow banned from playing over there? Seems like there's not even a team to be fielded.

Yet I recall strong english players, back in the day. Jill Hammersley, to name but one. The Rowe sisters. What happened across the pond? Even tabletennisengland.co.uk shows a men-and-children only game.
