I'm looking for advice on a combo for a friend of mine. He's tested a bunch of my equipment and he liked some and didn't like others. Here, however, is the twist - he does not want to buy the same equipment but something unique that resembles some of the characteristics of the blades and rubbers he liked but hopefully with fewer weaknesses. I've gotten him on the EJ wagon and he wants to stop, so he's basically looking for his long term setup.

About the player:
two winged looper, very strong FH loop, lots of spinny short BH loops and flips, also shoots quite a bit with FH and BH. Plays mid-distance. Weaknesses are probably serve-return, far away counter looping and his footwork. His rating is 1900. He practices twice a week and plays one tournament per week.

Equipment he LIKED that he tested:
Blades
Tibhar CCA Unlimited
Butterfly Zhang Jike ALC
Tibhar KJH
Butterfly Liu Shiwen
Nittaku Barwell Fleet

Rubbers (will denote if FH or BH)

DHS Hurricane 8 (BH)
Tenergy 64 (BH)
Xiom Omega Pro VII (BH)
Tibhar MX-S (BH and FH)
Tibhar MX-P (FH)

Equipment he DID NOT LIKE
Blades
Mizuno Fortius FT
Butterfly Timo Boll ALC
DHS Hurricane Long 5
Xiom Vega Pro
Nittaku Acoustic
Butterfly Innerforce ALC
Butterfly Mizutani ZLC

Rubbers (will denote if FH or BH)

Yasaka Razka 7
Nittaku Fastarc G1
Butterfly Tenergy 05
Andro Rasanter 47
Donic Bluefire M2
Xiom Vega Asia
Xiom Vega Pro
Xiom Vega Europe

I am actually really curious myself what some of the resident experts here would recommend based on that profile.

Looking forward to your feedback and always appreciated!

Probably would be useful to know what he did/did not like about the blades/rubbers.

For instance, especially the two BTY ALCs, which probably differ in small ways.

And I would use the H8 on FH and MX-P on BH, which is the setup I used for a long time on my Hurricane Long 3, and may well suit him.

Custom Made Blade, like from
Ross Leidy,
Blade by Charlie,
Blade Pemula,
Etc.

Let Him talk with the blade smith, and describe what His ultimate wanted blade, the blade Taylor made just for Him. ;)

The rubbers would follow. :)

Butterfly Innerforce ZLF (a bit like the Liu Shiwen)
BH: Tibhar Nimbus Delta S (lot's of control, tensor, spinny enough)
FH: DHS Hurricane 3 neo provincial blue sponge 40° boosted with black Haifu oil
