you paid 40,000 yens for that ? OMG

Like I said not quite worth 40000 yen. Especialy the same seat is usualy avialable for Sumo match for 10000 yen. I don't regret it though as it was historicaly significant event for Japan TT. Surprised to see the mother of my daughter's club mate as an umpire!

Anyways, I'll settle for 12000 yen ticket for Tachikawa games this season.

Mima Ito not playing ?
yep, decided to focus on the Olympics' preparation

Through her affiliation STARTS, Ito Mima announced today that she will not participate in the inaugural season of T Leauge, citing that she wants to focus on strengthening in the limited time.

https://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2018/10/09/kiji/20181009s00026000196000c.html

"I've been very much torn over participating in the T League, but in order to realize the dream of "Olympic gold medal" ever since being an elementary school student, and to repay the table tennis circle that has brought me up to now by winning the gold medal at Tokyo 2020, I've decided to concentrate on strengthening in the limited time until then," "I will also participate in the T League in the near future when the chance comes, and I would like everyone to see my play."

wait, are they actually playing at Kokugikan? Didn't realize that, that's sick!

yes its normally for the big Sumo tournaments LOL

its only for the 2 opening days (yesterday Men's and today Women's) it seems. Its a big show with music, lasers, J-pop, the big stars like Ai-chan commenting etc....
they showed a bit on TV. I regret not taking any tickets. I didn't know they would do such a thing. :-(

other regular matches will be very boring I guess

That's a lot of money (40k yen = approx £275). For comparison with UK prices, tickets for Wimbledon, snooker and even premier league football tend to be well under £100 each.
