That's why you don't send a failure to the WTTC. Led 3-1 in games.

Yep, but if You look at his match with Calderano You will see some light in the tunnel ;) Gauzy was unstoppable this day

Yes, Gauzy is problem opponent for Boll. Boll has serious problems with Gauzy's service and that prevents Boll from getting into rallies as he likes to.

Harsh. Darn that body language hurts.

If you want to know how "Defeat" looks like .. that is The Picture.

My gosh, so unfair for China players. I was cheering for Andrei, but even loosing he'll still have 100s of chances, for Yu Zhiyang it was one of the very little.

I think losing in qualifiers like that leads to a ban on playing for a while. Going to be a tough year for YZY.
Take it easy, look how many chances zhou yu had and they still send him, of course he goes further then qualify groups but he is older and have more int. Experience. Yu Zhiyang is still very young and Andrei Gacina is not nobody there this match could go either way. Surely YZ will have his chances

No, I thought raineverever wrote this was a formal policy that losing in the qualifiers had harsh consequences on playing the pro tour. Maybe I missed that. YZY does have a chance to redeem himself in U21.

It is not a permanent ban BTW, just for a period of time.

That has been the unwritten rule since the old days. Now it's explicitly stated.

I did not know about the rule. For me it is quite strange because
when you loose to foreigner
what matters is who was your opponent and how you were fighting for winning. of course China is looking for another FZD but they just do not have such player. They need to have 4 best spots but sooner or later when XX and ML retire they have only FZD world no 1 and others like FB and LGY world no 5 or so.
Anyway YZY is not my favourite player so I will not miss him :).

The CNT doesn't care who your opponent is when it comes to the qualification in a mere Open tournament.

I also think being up 3-1 and losing every game by 2 points doesn't help his cause.
I think it is also a question to the coach how did he encourage his player. YZY just beat Kizukuri quite easily. He will know face Darko Jorgic who is my black horse of this event. I hope Darko beat him same way as Liang Jingkun.
