I mean...... why would you even do that there? lol - It makes no sense unless you were going to do it regardless.

Exactly. The return of the serve was obviously a really bad one, but the 3rd ball attack was far from deadly too so some footwork with a simple backhand block could have saved the point...
Anyways, although it's easy to criticize, but I have to admit, I could never do such a hand switch
