Hey guys,

Here’s a coaching video from the TableTennisDaily Academy on how to do the modern backhand flick. This shot is becoming more and more popular in todays game and becoming pivotal in the receive of serve situations. The video is a quick over on the backhand flick with some slow motion demonstrations.

For a more in-depth breakdown on this shot as well as many more technical, tactical and psychological videos head to the Academy here.

Thx Dan for sharing. When fzd moves to middle or forehand side to do that flick, he raises his elbow as high as his shoulder, bowes his wrist as much as he can (~90 degree), and hangs his forearm vertically down, the distinctive fzd S shape.

im still trying to perfect this shot, in a match im often to late for the ball. You have to read the service quickly otherwise you're to late on the ball. Great video as always ttd,

Hey TThopeful, thanks for the nice comment! You're 100% right, reading the serve quickly is so important to get in ready for this shot fast! Keep practicing hard :)
