Screw sandpaper. I use this bad boy:
That is the curved side of a wood file (sometimes called a rasp). I file the wings of my blade to the exact shape and contour that feels best to my hand.
The edge in the last photo was the hardest to get a good perspective on. In plain light, in the photos, it is hard to see what is going on. That is the wing where my middle finger wraps around the wing to grab the handle.
And when looking at the blade in person, you can see that my finger, during play has done more to continue the work that the rasp started.
But the important thing, in my opinion is, the curved shape of the file helped me file a shape that really contoured how my fingers contact the wings. And through play, over time, my fingers continued the work to make the edges super smooth and comfortable.
