Stop the video at 7 seconds and then restart it and the ball clearly hits the table and goes off at a sharp angle to the right. Now it is not clear that the ball did not hit the top of the corner of the edge, but I doubt it. Still for a judge to see it at full speed - almost impossible.
The two people best positioned to see what happened are the players. The umpire(s) the worst possible place. Clearly the ball goes down and to the right. Clearly side. Madrid is perfectly right to call side. Feng should have acknowledged the shot as side.
I tried to slow it down to 0.25 speed and put it on the highest quality possible and I still couldn't see the point of contact as it's between frames
if I were refereeing a club match, I would say SIDE from the trajectory after contact. Chances are though that there would be an argument between the players in our league, so I would call LET just to keep the game moving .
I know it sounds strange, but if the table hit is on the nearside to the umpire, he will have more difficulty recognising a side vs edge. But that's a clear side from the camera's POV. IMHO of course
