This is the best Korea Open for the home team in recent years.

A round stadium like this one is pretty well suited to table tennis.

Liu Zhiqiang is up to it again with the distraction tactics but it didn't work.

Jang Woojin up 1:0.

JWJ has some trouble with LJK's short backspin serve to his short forehand. He switched up his service to great effect. Turned the table but wasted his serve, 8:8. Same fate for LJK, 8:10. JWJ clutched it this time , 11:9.

Liu Zhiqiang forced to call TO at 1:3. Told LJK to go for JWJ's BH and don't back down.

LJK is missing a lot on his BH, and coupling that with JWJ's FH makes things so much harder for him. He also misses tons of forehand flicks on JWJ's serve to his short forehand.

1 game away from defeat.

LJK can't carry out his game plan. He simply can't pin JWJ down to his BH. It's a done deal.

Liang can't handle the pressure it seems, no chance against Woojin who is on fire.

And he loses 0-4, this is a hard loss for China and Liang Jingkun. This is the old Liang Jingkun, he lacks consistency. Massive performance by Woojin.

The 1st game will be very crucial if Jang is to cause an upset. LJK's last 2 matches against Harimoto and Lim Jonghoon ended 11:9 and 12:10 in the 1st game and both went into downward spirals afterwards. If he manages that 1st game, I wouldn't be surprised if the pressure that has built up until now unravels on LJK.

Nailed it!

Lim playes so well, he deserves to win. It would be nice to have some other countries catching up, the Asia game will be interesting to watch now.

No one expected such a fiasco from Liang Jingkun, but Jang Woojin was just unstoppable. Sweeps Franziska, 4-1's Xu Xin, edges out Jeong Sangeun, comfortably 4-1's in-form Jun Mizutani and 4-0 in the final to add to his 2 other victories, what a tournament for him.

LJK's future looks bleak. He looks lifeless in the post-match interview.

This win from from jang woojin , brought table tennis results in to a new level . Now if an open starts we can expect every country to win not just china .. first harimoto now jang . LJK should try more again . Now I have more hope on ma long and zhang jike than Ljk or some china's younger players .
