Hi people

I am an attacking penhold (RPB) player and and I need a good rubber to start with to advance my game (before choosing faster, more expensive rubbers).

I would like to hear your personal experience with rubbers - especially when you started playing.

Thanks!

I started out with KTL Rapid Speed and KTL Pro XT. Both are not that expensive but a bit more expensive than the DHS PF4 you are using, at least when I compared them on TT11. KTL also has a bunch of other rubbers in the same price range. There's also Palio's AK47 rubbers that might interest you, but I haven't played with them.

Hi people :)

I am an attacking RPB player and my backhand is good and spinny. I use cheaper/ lower quality rubbers now and I need a good rubber to start with to advance my game (before choosing specialised and/ or expensive rubbers).

Someone recommended Butterfly Sriver FX (both sides) to begin with and that I should use my cheap blade?

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

There are a lot of affordable choices out there:
AK47 yellow version for FH, blue for BH (only $9 each but plays amazing)
729 Battle II for FH if you want to try tacky rubber the first time
CJ8000
etc

I just got this recently and it has a good feeling. It’s a recommended setup for newbies per other seasoned players.

Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive Ch.Pen
DHS Hurricane 3 Neo (FH)
Donic Acuda Blue P1 (BH)

I got the lowest thickness for better control for both rubber.
