That's where the 2nd footnote comes in - The various "ease-ofs" serve as a guide only and are by no means guarantees for the proper rubber performance.

      As of Sep 1, 2018,

      Boll plays with TB ALC/T05 Hard/T05;

LSS plays with custom Innerforce Layer ALC/T05 Hard x2.

Boll says T05 Hard matches very well with my forehand technique. He likes that it can generate a trajectory at whatever timing he hits the ball.

LSS says T05 Hard makes it easier to spin, and he feels he is able to play deep loop shots on FH/BH.

05 Hard for Spin and Power.
      05 for Spin, 64 for Speed, 80 for Balance, 25 for Near-table.
      FX for Spin/Speed/Balance and Stability.

If you know how to brush the ball properly and contact it thinly, it is better than a soft rubber if you do slow spinny loops.

While Butterfly say Tenergy 05 Sponge Hardness is 36 i don't think its anywhere near that hard considering XIOM Asia DF is 42.5 and that's miles softer than tenergy

Anyone know what scale BTY are using ?

The 36 will be using the same scale as dhs use. Xiom will be using the one common in Europe where tenergy is like 47-48 I think

Tenergy 05 and 80 etc are all the same price as one another. I think 05 hard will go in the same category.

Same as everybody: more tacky, so gives more spin. hard sponge = also good for serve, short game, block. Excellent control. It sacrifices a bit of power compared to Tenergy. But all those are incremental differences. They have very similar touch and feelings. You need to use slightly more your body to get the same effect with SpinArt. You can feel more difference the farther from the table you are. Only far for flat hits at some distance, I would say Tenergy is definitely better.

My style is to play a fast attacking and counter game near the table, so I believe SpinArt is a good rubber for me.

LIU Shiwen used to have it on her BH for quite some time as well.

Afaik the sponge is the same springsponge as the Tenergy sponge, only the topsheet is harder so the rubber feels harder overall.

Interesting. Earlier this year Tenergy 05C and 09N were also added to the LARC. Checking out LARC 2018A just now I see Tenergy 05 HARD listed there (14.033) -- next to Tenergy 05 (14.001), Tenergy 05N (14.031) and also Tenergy 09C (14.032).

No news about 05N and 09C yet?

Sometimes Spinart feels dead and for me it os more of a fh rubber and a substitute for hurricane 3 minus the tack.
