FZD went from beating everyone to being beaten by everyone in a short span of just a few months. Sad. Does the image tell something?

Dunno, I bet even dominating players like Waldner in his prime wouldn't hold a 100% winning quote all the time, I.e. outside the great tournaments or Olympics.

Isn't FZD top in the stats even with the new losses (see https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/showthread.php?p=255842 )?

Even Chen Meng's winning streak has been halted by Wang Manyu and Zhu Yuling recently so, yeah no player wins all the time, especially during internal matches.

FZD losing to XX and LJK is one thing. But to Ren Hao , Xu Chenhao etc are completely different. He hardly lost at this frequency in the last 3-4 years in CSL. This is not normal. It is a terrible time for this bad slump when he should be rather peaking for WTTC.

The tournament is 3 months away. You are way ahead of his peaking schedule.

Dude, it is normal for people to have a bad slump. We aren't talking about a year of continued losses. Things happen in life and that can impact the performance of a player. LGY just lost to Xu Yingbin.

These players in Chinese super league are all very strong. If they are having a real good day, even as FZD you better bring your best or risk losing.

If this was a game, don't think of it as a level 99 player going against a level 70 player. They are level 90+ with a unique set of attributes.

I’m a huge fan of FZD and used to be a huge fan of WH as well when he was a player. Not sure what’s going on with FZD. This is not a normal slump. Timing is bad too.
I have a feeling LGL will call WJP back to help WH. LGL, WJP and WH will all Work on FZD to get his mojo back and then some

I noticed Yan An seems to have a very distinct stroke that is different from most other Chinese players. He has his arm bent when looping while most Chinese players keep the arm straight with more of a brushing motion. I actually quite enjoy watching him play. He's very responsive and his counterattack is very snappy. I wonder what rubber he uses.

Really sad to see Xu Xin struggling to fit in the new close-to-table style. His FH is just as inconsistent as his BH. He has little time to prepare for a full-scale FH stroke due to close to table. So for the entire match Xu Xin is playing probably 70% of his original FH power. At 28 I highly doubt Xu Xin can make any significant transformation. But I still love his original game where he ran left and right to launch FH attack and he's still my favourite., period.
