Early Matches to watch

men

Harimoto ~ Thakkar

women

Diaz ~ Jing Ning

Hey don't forget Węgrzyn and Dragoman : ) Go Ania go!!
Too bad it's table 4 though ..

Just had a chat with Węgrzyn's coach, he said they realize it's going to be tough, she lost 0:4 lately with Andreea. But every match is different, will see.

European women's table tennis is weak in general and has been forever. Not sure of the reasons compared to the men's

A big part of it has to do with the Jews giving up. Table tennis was dominated by the Jews until Japan took over and they never recovered.

Takahashi is nothing less than impressive as well. She looks like a different player from Rio.

It must be the table, been watching 2 guys playing now, at least at A Diaz level. They look like 2200.

I watched Amy's match and Ning's match
they missed so many balls (no contact at all)
Last time there was an World Tour in Argentina, they used Stag tables and after that open, there was lots of complaints that surfaced about uneven bounce

The match with Ning, the table does look like some form of inconsistency - making both players making silly mistakes...

Great game b/w SYS and Takahashi.

What a shame, Takahashi had 2 game points.

South America has a bright future ahead. Keep it up!

A close shave for Harimoto. Pletea had a few chances.

Sgouropoulos couldn't keep up with LYJ speed. Too fast.

Great match by Wang, it could have been a 4-0 without much trouble. Truls woke up as soon as he got the yellow in the third game but it was not enough.

Still a gap between Truls and his Chinese peer, Wang was simply too fast today. What I like about the Swede is that he always wants to fight, even with the "future CNT" and does not give up before the match.
Really good match to watch. A lot of fighting from Truls. I have watched his matches throughout this tournament and his blocking was so good and big part of his game. But it simply didn't work against Wang, the quality of attack is so much higher.
