Optimal area of the paddle to flat hit?

I know that for the forehand topspin (assuming right-handed) it's good to hit towards the top right of the rubber, but what about flat hitting? Is it the same? A little different? I can't find much with Google.

I think for safety, unless you're a pro or advanced player, whether loop or flat hit, its better to hit the middle of the paddle

I agree with the above answer. For flat hits it is important to have an open racket angle.

Its wrong to say that for topspin the top-right of the rubber is the best.
In some situations its the best, for others its not. For higher balls the down-middle is better.
And it depends a lot on the distance, the incoming tralectory angles, your position, desired placement.
Anyway using the centre of the sweetspot is always safer.
For flat hits the longer central axis is the best, usually the centre, for paralels its upper side.
