Table tennis flooring

Hi all,
I was considering converting my shed into a table tennis area. Which flooring do you recommend and what prices would I be looking at. Does anybody have table tennis flooring and what do you think of it? Also, do you know any sites that sell this e.g. old table tennis flooring from past events? Finally, does anybody know of a site that sells cheap table tennis posters of the pros. Thanks

Nice plan!

If you happen across a lot of beech planks, go for it.

Flooring specialists sometimes offer reused floors, including Gerflor or similar mats. Everything still costs, though, and TT requires a substantial area.

I would suggest looking at the ITTF list of approved flooring and pick one of the Chinese brands, they are soooo much cheaper...

Tenshiu is cheaper than gerflor i think and also used in ittf.

Yeah, just use Chinese brands
1/3 of price to the crazy expensive Gerflor
Unless you have lots of money and not bothered

Yup, I think the difference in price is a good deal and quality difference is not really that big.

I asked this exact question a few months ago. The link that Fabian has provided is to the best deals out there.
You will have to through the companies listed on that site before you come to one that is willing to sell in the small amount of flooring that you require but it’s definetly worth the effort.
I’m still to carry out my project but when I do that will be where I’m buying from.

I paid $12 per square meter. They are approved by ITTF and their flooring was used in Beijing Olympics

You can indeed get second hand flooring from tournaments you'll have to ask around though. That's where a lot of clubs get their flooring.

How about those jigsaw floor matting are those too soft? I mean the ones that have those interlocking edges.
