Primorac: limba/limba/ayous/limba/limba. Slightly head heavy, even though its head size is smaller. Hollow handle, probably. Soft/mushy feel; limba lovers gonna love. Limited sweet spot, but very good feedback.

Grubba: anegre/limba(?)/abachi/limba(?)/anegre. (There's also a Grubba Carbon, but I've never seen one). Nice balance, rather thin, and flexy, and more of an allrounder than the Primorac. Firmer/crisper feeling. Sizable sweet spot, also with superogatory good feedback. Above and beyond the call of duty!

Ayous, Abachi/Obeche, Samba are said to come from the same tree, but with different origins. Ivory coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria... anyway.

It might be me, but between the two I prefer the feel of the Grubba. The way it bites the ball is just… so… scha-weeeeet!

I thought grubbla was supersoft and very slow. I think primorac is a better alternative. But then i do not know much about equipment. How Do you play and how good are you? Why are you considering these blades?

There's also a Grubba Carbon, but I've never seen one).

I tried one in CZ albeit only for a few minutes, T05 both sides.

It was... stable, I guess? Dull and hard feeling of carbon without the extra-speed, and very limited gears was my impression. Hardly any flex, and even less joy as far as I was concerned. Thinking maybe for pips players...

Then coming back to live in my home region and one of my clubmates had one, with Sriver FH and Tackiness (!) BH, not sure which. Well, much better I thought! It didn't feel nearly as dry, softer (and non-spring) sponge was a much better fit in my opinion. I actually thought "I could play with this", not that it'd keep me awake at night but it did the job very nicely in a no-nonsense sort of fashion, for a slower (not that slow!) but solid all-round game.

Of course, these are only quick impressions.

I'm looking to play an OX long pimple chopping game. I wondered which of these would work best because I attack on my forehand.

It's not my style, but the OX-players I know seem to prefer a hard outer layers underneath it. Some even play with bamboo outers, I've read somewhere.

I bought the blade Firestarter from Sauer & Tröger just to mess around a bit. One side is quite fast and the other side slower. I use Victas V01 on the forehand and DHS Cloud & Fog 3 OX on the backhand. I'm not a long pimple specialist by any means but I find the setup quite easy to use.

I also think he should try a harder blade. In my limited knowledge, harder stiffer blades make the trajectory more straight and the ball leaves the racket fast which seems to be good for long pimple play.

This would also be a good alternative! I have a friende that play very successfull with one of these kind of blades. It is fast one one side and slower one the other.

You may also try contacting Japsko, they have a lot of knowledge about these things.
