What's even worse here is that Nagasaki got taken out by Sakura.

This highlights the volatility of a knock-out trial. That's why CNT does it with a huge round-robin.

I do not remember how the selection took place in 2017 ...
I know that Sato and Kato were selected ..... Hayata only played WD .....

But transparent, democratic and fair. Yet, folks aren't pleased here.
Because there are better players who deserved to be here instead of these two, and you know both of them will have no chance when facing a CNT player in the WTTC, same goes for the women's final. Hayata vs Shibata should've been the true final.

That is why the games on March 3 (WS) are of little interest ....

And Zeio is absolutely right - LGL is very pleased with the gift of fortune ....
If I am not mistaken, it was he who once said that Hayata is the most promising player in the Japanese national team in the future ....

They had separate trials for men and women in a slightly different format and it wasn't part of the Japan Top 12 tournament.

4 groups of 8 followed by knock-out of the 1st 2 in each group, all in a span of 3 days.

Guess what? Kato won, beating Hayata 4-1 in the QF! Fair and square! Damn!

Li Sun said it 1st in the women's team final of ATTC 2017, in the match b/w Hayata and ZYL.

LGL mentioned it again in women's team final b/w China and Japan of the Team World Cup 2018, actually citing that people's focus on Ito was misplaced.
