So it's likely gonna be Jeon, Shin and Suh? Choi and Lee will not be included due to nationalistic reasons. Yang should be satisfied with her World Champion status.

More or less. All this fuss over nothing and back to square one. The logic of having immigrants when you don't see them as your own and want them to represent your country...

This is looking bad for CIC. If Hong Kong Open and China Open get postponed as well, there's a big chance CIC will fall behind Ishikawa and FTW in July, if she fails to renew her points(2250 vs 1750 for the other 2) at WTTC Busan.

Yes, that's right ... C.I.C. may lose 630 points.... 10825..
But, if not mistaken, F.T. save your points ...old 900 (2019/6) replacement from reserve 900...
11100....

I think there is possibility that ITTF due to cancelation of turnaments can keep the players score. We are not sure if any competition untill Tokyo will be played. So this would be the best solution.

Interesting ... How will ITTF calculate rating points, for example, in May? In April, there will be no tournaments ...

Even more interesting - how will ITTF consider the June rating? Most likely tournaments in China and Hong Kong will not take place ....Will the old points for 5/2019 be deducted when calculating the June rating?

Mizutani posted this on his Twitter account moments after Abe announced the postponement of the Olympics. Haha. Can his health keep up for another year or will JTTA be forced to revise the team and Mixed Doubles lineups? In any case, I'm glad to see that he's still willing to fight to make his 4th Olympics.

The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 have been postponed, the International Olympic Committee and Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee announced on Tuesday (24 March).

Originally scheduled to be held from 24 July-9 August 2020, the Games have been moved to next year due to the developing global situation in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, they will retain the Tokyo 2020 name.

The announcement came 122 days before the planned Opening Ceremony at the newly-built National Stadium in the Japanese capital.

A joint IOC-Tokyo Organising Committee statement said that following information provided by the World Health Organisation, "the IOC President and the Prime Minister of Japan have concluded that the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo must be rescheduled to a date beyond 2020 but not later than summer 2021, to safeguard the health of the athletes, everybody involved in the Olympic Games and the international community."

Nevertheless, it is interesting what ITTF will now do with a rating system ....

Will he conserve points received in ITTF tours in 2019 (May - 2019 onwards)?
