      There are No rigth ways to learn or Do a technique. More like guidelines.

      But he plays pretty good haha

      Shadow training is really good. He should do some in front of the mirror aswell so he knows how it looks. I do alot of shadow training with my students. To hard to learn new stuff with a ball in the beginning. But very important to do the strokes and footwork correct so you do not learn wrong stuff.

      Common teaching practice here in Japan, too. I've seen some of my students do that.
