Pitchford has the upper hand on BH. Harimoto goes for his FH in response but not good enough.

Harimoto hardened up in the endgame 4 in a row from 7:9.

Harimoto has learned his lessons. He doesn't break down when he doesn't come out on top in BH rallies.

Yeah. His FH looks more stable these days overall, but his BH-FH switch seems much better. Harder to disrupt his rhythm and balance.

Ya, he doesn't miss those FH shots during quick BH exchanges that much now. He used to force them.

Aha, so it doesn't count against a non-Chinese top contender in front of his home crowd? No pressure there I guess?
it is a good win, but I don't think it proves he can win the big one. Let me ask you this, in real playing terms didn't you favour LGY over DO?

Finally Harimoto beat Pitchford. If he plays his A game he destroys almost all of his opponents, it's such a big difference to WTTC or even youth olympics where he struggles when he feels much more pressure, especially against underdogs.
