China Open seeding is based on Apr WR while Hong Kong Open and Japan Open seeding based on May WR.

Yesterday 1-8 seeds were at the drawing ceremony and drew for themselves. JO Waldner, Lu Yuansheng drew for the absent 1-8 seeds and 9-16 seeds. JW drew ML to position 5. JW said in the interview that he wishes a Swede to win China Open but in reality he thinks FZD has better chance. "ML just won WTTC, FZD has more hunger for victory." This sounds similar to what LGL said before WTTC, though.

There are 5 CNT male players in qualification. Can they all make to the main draw? Will some of them be drawn to the 2nd quarter which has no CNT player now? We will see.

Uncle Vladi continue to teach lessons.
Kanak Jha ... difficult, difficult, difficult.

Not really surprised.

If you've followed the scene long enough, you'd notice that South Korean players are among the streakiest, yet have produced many if not the most powerful upsets in memory.

I believe the fight will be a lot more intense for the second half.

Many interesting results today: He Zhuojia 3-4 to a NK player Cha Su Yong, Minnie Soo 2-4 Liu Xin representing Spain, Fegerl out, Lim Jonghoon out, Groth out, Matsudaira out after losing to Truls 1-4, Franziska barely survived after being 5-10 in the 7th against Gacina. Poor Gacina, there was a dead netball as well at 10-10, sent his racket flying.
