DN is ousted by Sato.

Hirano: I'm the luckiest player today!
I'll say this again and again. DN is getting old. Her shots have never been powerful. Now they are downright mushy.
I had a feeling Sato would a tough battle for DN. I'm not surprised at all by the outcome. Sato was tough even for a powerful player like WMY.

LIN Yun-ju definitely has a lot of talent. China has a lot of talents but there are a lot of challengers as well, HARIMOTO still on top of the challenge despite today's loss, and LIN not far behind.

Harimoto is becoming more consistent every day, which is always exciting to watch. However, if I have to bet my money, I'd put it on Lin Yun-Ju. I'm old fashioned. I believe a male tt player's potential is largely defined by the speed of his footwork and the power of his FH. LYJ already has plenty of both, plus a powerful BH. This kid might become the greatest tt player that Taiwan has ever produced.

Can we place that bet and for how much? Comparing a kid who isn't 16 yet to one almost 2 years older always leads to interesting perspectives.

ML did the exact same FH flick on receive when 11:12 down (from 9:4) against Kanak Jha in the fourth game at 2019 WTTC. ML said that's his best shot in the whole tournament. Jha mentioned it surprised him a lot because ML did it only once on receive in the match.

Jujube is Chinese date or red date. Guo Yan made that nickname for LSW when she was young with baby fat and blush on her face. Nickname of LSW's fans is sweet/candied jujube. Chinese fans of a celebrity (not limited to TT or sports stars) usually have their own nicknames too.

Uh, how did FatDing (WTTC Bronze Medalist) lose while XuLing advance? But I think Japan will take the finals.

This Victas table is really something...

I've lost count of the number of serves that were sent right into the net.
