Dead even CM vs Hayata.

4:2, 4:7, 5:7...Hayata blacks out like Hirano. 6:10, 8:11.

Harimoto plays like an amateur against Sun Wen's intentionally slow and soft shots.

Can't adjust to shots to his pocket.

HARIMOTO is totally outplayed by power and speed. SUN Wen is really excellent
having missed the match, it's funny to read these descriptions one right after another :)

As it turns out, Hirano has the best draw!

If Nagasaki plays the way she did (i.e. how a left-handed player should), not sure if Hirano can win?

Also at the rate things are going, Chinese women might occupy quarters 2 (Liu Fei vs Liu Shiwen), 3 (Sun Yingsha vs Wang Manyu/Chen Xingtong) and 4 (Gu Yuting/He Zhuojia vs Chen Meng)

Sure but wins build confidence. Without confidence you can't beat China. Waldner had confidence in excess, that's why he always posted a challenge for Chinese players. Just like LGL says in his latest interview for ITTF.

yeh, its better that they lose NOW instead of the Olympics. Good experience

Ito just did not want to give away her tricks while playing some Chinese B player while the whole CNT was analyzing her. It was simply not worth putting her A game against Gu Yuting. She tried some brand new shots which she dreamed last night just to confuse the Chinese. She is now concentrating only for Olympics 2020 where she will unleash her full potential with hidden innovations. :-D
