Mizuki Oikawa was one of the players who beat out Wu Jiaji in the group stage at the Croatian Open as one example. Mizuki Oikawa beat Timo Boll in the German league.

Kanak's rating is partly enhanced by his result in North American events. Same with Heming Hu, who is Oceania champ and WR 75 despite having no significant world tour performances.

I wonder what you will write when Juan Liu wins the US trials. You will make it sound like an upset of monumental proportions, won't you, given that she has no ranking but is beating ItTf top 100 players easily?

I feel like it would have been a significant upset if Kanak *had* beaten Wu Jiaji, lol. Although perhaps Wu's level has dropped since he left the CNT.

My view, Jha tends to play conservatively, early in some matches, probably if he has never played them before, this causes him to get behind, he usually comes back but sometimes he doesn't, so he gets beaten or upset by a player with a worse world ranking.

Wu Jiaji took 3 games off Calderano. Kanak couldn't take 1. LEt's keep some perspective here.
