Hayata's form seems to have dipped as well. Normally she wouldn't lose to Hamamoto.

Yea, Hamamoto's form on the other hand seems to be improving, she's playing more games for Kanagawa and getting results.

Look at Joo Sae Hyuk... after a very narrow loss at the 5th set, he is undefeated and tearing through every opponent. Now is like 4W 1L or something like that.

Yea, I was there and it was amazing!

I think this shows Joo is still a top player and it's great to see him playing still and even perform! I'm guessing he can't travel a lot and play the opens or his form and consistency would probably drop significantly due to his auto-immune illness coupled with his older age and demanding playing style? Also I'm sure he doesn't want to be far from his family too long at this point in his life.

It's a shame that she's very shy in nature. If she was half as outgoing as Ito or Hayata, she could've been the most popular TT player in Japan.

indeed. I've listened to some interviews or seen some vids of her, I prefer not to write what it sounds like. Hopefully living in Austria (if she does ?) will transform her for the better.

I am not sure if Mizutani has some injury (there is some plaster on his neck) but he is playing worse and worse. In that shape him and Koki I do not know if Japan has any chance to get any men team medal in Tokyo.
