Hello friends, I've been practicing RPB with Chinese style penhold racket. Someone suggested trying out the Japanese style and said it will give less stress to the fingers holding or playing with the bat for both forehand n backhand. Is that true?

I notice a typical Japanese style penhold racket has no rubber on the backhand side. Why is that? Will it be adnormal to add a rubber over there and what kind to add typically?

Thanks.

I'm using a J-pen racket for learning TPB... I never did TPB and only RPB.

You will develop calluses faster with JPen handle.

Weight is a problem due to shape of the JPen... Grip is not too difficult to do and feels very secure. Sanding to reduce sharp edges biting into the hand but not too much... Just as very little as possible.

No twiddling possible with the normal JPen.
