Women's Singles Main Draw

- Chen Meng vs Mori Sakura
- Linda Bergstrom vs Wang Yidi
- Chen Xingtong vs Kato Miyu
- Liu Shiwen vs Yuan Jianan

Quarter 1 will likely be dyed red after the Round of 32 but WYD has fallen to choppers many times so, maybe LB will be the sole survivor.

- Ishikawa Kasumi vs Liu Fei
- Feng Tianwei vs Gu Yuting
- Suh Hyowon vs Qian Tianyi
- Zhu Yuling vs Nagasaki Miyu

Highlights for me are the revenge match between ZYL and Nagasaki as well as Kasumi's opening match against a Chinese player in quite some time.

- Wang Manyu vs Hamamoto Yui
- Doo Hoi Kem vs Yang Xiaoxin
- Hirano Miu vs Hina Hayata
- Ito Mima vs Sato Hitomi

The strongest Japanese women (excluding Kasumi) all clustered together. Hirano and Hayata seems to be split 50-50 while Ito has always been rather steady against choppers.

- Sun Yingsha vs Jeon Jihee
- Matilda Ekholm vs Hashimoto Honoka
- Cheng I-Ching vs Shibata Saki
- Ding Ning vs Britt Erland

Ekholm might be schooled by Hashimoto but otherwise, I don't see the other qualifiers winning.

What did Hayata do in her previous life to deserve this?

First Ito in Czech Open, now Hirano in Swedish Open.

Never thought Zennoh had so much pull...

One might surmise. Did she pull a Sun Yingsha/Wang Manyu in a previous life, and would the shamefulness of that even transgress the boundaries of a single life? One wonders. Eternal shame indeed!

But on the more serious side of things, you're hinting at a conspiracy there, zeio. I see no reason for that, and it's not that good a penchant, the hang for conspiracy theories, I'd say.

Hayata saved G2. Harimoto's grip looks different.

Hayata = Man
Harimoto = Woman

Having observed Hong Kong Open, Japan Open and now Swedish Open, Hayata is practically doing all the leg work. Harimoto is really poor for a 16-year-old boy when it comes to running.

Shibata can beat Cheng.
