Hello! I'm not sure if hardbat gets any love on here but I have a couple questions I'd love advice with!

I play with just a hardbat racket I got from Walmart, but I'm not sure if it is legal and am looking to upgrade to something approved by ITTF as well as USATT. The current one I have is from the brand "EastPoint". I've played in a few tournaments where everyone has used sponge, so far no one has questioned my hardbat but I need to be prepared.

I love the feel of my current racket, and would like a blade that plays similar to it. When I look online the amount of choices are overwhelming and I have no knowledge on blades/rubbers. Does anyone know type of blade would be comparable to a cheap Walmart bought hardbat?

As far as rubbers go, I found online that Butterfly OrthodoxDX are approved by ITTF, so that aspect should be all set.

Do you think I should just buy another cheap ($4-$6)EastPoint paddle and just replace the rubbers or should I buy a “real” blade fora bit more money?

Thank you for any and all advice, I really appreciate it!
