She was very firm during the interview. You can sense her strong desire for revenge... "I like to win" and "It is a match (against Ito) that I'm looking forward to very much".

I hope she will get some spanking for that..

Well, it’s quite possible ... ZYL has much more motivation to win .....Mima Ito, in principle, fulfilled her minimum task and optimum task ....She is the first WR of Japanese women, and she guaranteed Tokyo 2020 .....

Suit yourself. I'd rather see the two best players in the final.

I agree that ZYL will be very motivated. Mima Ito's motivation is that she's come close this year, but she has not won an ITTF tournament this year.

I agree .... And, in addition, Mima Ito, fundamentally, would not mind beating the ZYL again ...
(very soon we will see what will happen ...)

Ito is like Mikhail Nekhemyevich Tal, World Chess Champion in 61', A bag of tricks and violent tactics and sacrifices, You know he's tricky you try your best to play well but still his tricks almost always prevailed, Tal wasn't the most excellent in the endgame like some of his other compatriots but Mima here has shown to be also adept in grinding down her opponents in helpless variations of trick serves and awkward spins
